Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled analytical chemist to join its development team. This role will focus on developing, qualifying, and conducting assays for characterizing and processing complex mixtures of high-value metals, assessing chemical synthesis reactions, quantifying and characterizing protein quality and amount.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and qualify ICP-OES methods and instrumentation
  • Operate and maintain a wide variety of analytical instruments for chemical and biochemical analysis
  • Assist in preprocessing for various minerals and chemical mixtures
  • Collaborate with internal science and engineering teams to deliver project goals
  • Analyze, organize, and present data to internal and external groups
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of industry experience, preferably in the pharma industry
  • Significant experience developing methods, operating, and qualifying ICP-OES instrumentation and methods
  • Experience with chromatography methods and design of experiment principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work within and among different teams
