Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Treat Medical Conditions
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories to diagnose various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to address patient needs.
- Communicate Effectively
- Communicate clearly and concisely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Document Patient Information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to support patient care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to ensure effective care.
- Quality Improvement
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Continuous Learning
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice to ensure compliance.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements
- Previous experience in gastroenterology as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- A valid and unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.
- Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare).
- Completion of state-mandated educational courses.
