Job Summary

Cajun Industries seeks a skilled Geospatial Analyst to provide surveying services to company supervisors and craftsmen. The successful candidate will ensure that construction work complies with design drawings, providing work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, and physical evidence to obtain data needed for surveys.
  • Provide topographic and cross-section surveys required for planning and payment quantities, and calculate quantity calculations as necessary.
  • Develop new data from photogrammetric records and maintain accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
  • Prepare documentation of surveying activities, including field books and diaries.
  • Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment and check as-built conditions that require use of surveying techniques.
Qualifications
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, regular talking or hearing, and frequent walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to direct others, communicate effectively with management and supervision, and use math to complete calculations.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
