**Job Title:** Software Engineering Associate - Backend

  We are looking for an experienced software engineering associate to join our team at VISA USA, INC. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in backend technologies and a passion for learning and growth. As a software engineering associate, you will work under close guidance to support various backend development tasks, contributing to the creation, debugging, and maintenance of code across products.

  Job Responsibilities:
As a software engineering associate, your primary responsibility will be to write, debug, and maintain backend code to support various programs and applications. You will also be responsible for working closely with senior engineers and team members, asking questions and seeking guidance to understand project requirements and improve solution strategies.

  Key Responsibilities:*
- Write, debug, and maintain backend code to support various programs and applications.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge and proactively seek new knowledge to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Work closely with senior engineers and team members, asking questions and seeking guidance to understand project requirements and improve solution strategies.
- Apply best practices in backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby) and follow secure coding practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of APIs to support product features.
- Support database and server management tasks, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Participate in integrating backend systems with other components to ensure seamless functionality.
- Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving bugs that impact backend functionality.
- Apply secure coding practices to ensure the security of the code, following OWASP principles.

  Requirements:
- Fundamental knowledge of backend languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
- API Development: Basic understanding of API development and maintenance.
- Familiarity with database management systems and server management.
- Basic knowledge of integrating backend systems with other components.
- Understanding of data structures and their application in backend development.
- Knowledge of security best practices and development standards required to ensure code remains secure, including OWASP principles.

  Salary Range:$130,000 - $170,000 per annum.
