Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at University Hospitals, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient patient care by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and preparing the surgical site.
  • Monitor and maintain the sterile field, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are available and in good working condition.
  • Provide medications and supplies as needed during the procedure.
  • Participate in the quality improvement process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.
  • Comply with all policies and standards related to patient care and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
