Ravenna Pizza is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and maintain the high standards of our beloved pizzeria.
Key Responsibilities- Culinary Operations Management: Oversee all culinary operations related to our Roman-style square pizzas, artisanal gelato, pastries, and the full service bar.
- Menu Development: Design and develop innovative and authentic menu items that reflect the pizzeria's Italian roots and incorporate seasonal ingredients.
- Pizza Preparation and Cooking: Masterfully prepare Roman-style square pizzas, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Gelato and Pastry Oversight: Collaborate with the team to produce high-quality gelati and pastries, ensuring they meet the standards of Italian tradition.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. Perform regular tastings to ensure all offerings meet the pizzeria's high standards.
- Ingredient Management: Source and select the best ingredients, working with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss improvement areas and innovation ideas.
- Inventory and Budget Management: Oversee inventory levels, reduce waste, and manage purchasing within budget constraints.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Customer Engagement: Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and improve menu offerings.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in an Italian pizzeria or similar culinary environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Roman-style square pizza, gelato, and pastry preparation and cooking techniques.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of budgeting and inventory management.
