Job Summary

AmeriQual is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the production process in our food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Production Associates: Provide guidance, direction, and support to production associates to ensure they are meeting production targets and adhering to company standards.
  • Communicate with Internal Departments: Collaborate with Warehouse, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain Food Safety and Sanitation Standards: Ensure the company's high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness are maintained in all manufacturing facility areas.
  • Train and Develop Associates: Provide training and development opportunities to associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor Production Lines: Regularly inspect production lines to ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 or 4-year degree in industrial supervision, engineering, business, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office; ERP/SAGE and Kronos experience a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do mentality; ability to lead and empower team members, encouraging employee engagement and team mentality.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Regularly sit, walk, and stand
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
  • Use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 25 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The position will also require frequent visits to the production floor, where the employee will be exposed to standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions. The facility may contain nuts, fruits, and other allergens.
