Position Overview

Role: Physical Therapist Assistant

Facility: NovaCare Rehabilitation

Work Arrangement: Per Diem / PRN / Part Time

Compensation: Starting at $28.00 per hour.

Our outpatient orthopedic facilities are in search of dedicated and licensed physical therapist assistants (PTA) to deliver outstanding care to a diverse patient population. Our skilled clinical team is committed to providing treatment that enhances functionality and achieves optimal outcomes for our patients. We pride ourselves on fostering an exceptional patient experience, assisting individuals in returning to their preferred activities, whether that be sports, work, or daily life.

We welcome applications from FULL, PART, or PER DIEM / PRN licensed professionals with a minimum of one (1) year of recent outpatient orthopedic experience. All positions involve treating a varied caseload, with clinicians typically managing 12 patients during an eight-hour shift. Half-day schedules are also available. While we cannot accommodate new graduates for PRN roles, we can offer consistent full-time or part-time opportunities for independent new grad PTAs.

Operating Hours: The outpatient center opens as early as 8 AM, with the last patient scheduled at 7 PM.

Available Scheduling Options:

  • Per Diem/PRN: Coverage as needed, with no fixed schedule or expectations.
  • Part-Time: Less than 32 hours per week with a set schedule that includes some evening shifts, concluding an hour before closing.
  • Full-Time: Starting at 32 hours per week, inclusive of full benefits.

Benefits and Opportunities: Part-time, PRN, and per diem clinicians will have access to in-person and CEU-accredited courses. Clinicians who complete over 1,000 hours in a calendar year may qualify for a 401(k) plan with company matching. Full-time positions, beginning at 32 hours, come with additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, continuing education access, paid time off, holidays, and personal/sick time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care under the guidance and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, adhering to the State Practice Act.
  • Utilize training and education to assist the Physical Therapist in executing prescribed treatment plans.
  • Provide high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities, in line with the principles and practices of physical therapy and company policies.
  • Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients, fostering and enhancing relationships with facility staff.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid state license, registration, or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant, having graduated from an accredited program and passed the national examination certified by CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state of practice.
  • Current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
