Our Clinical Decision Unit is looking for a Registered Nurse for a full-time position, working flexibly at 36 hours per week. This role primarily involves Night Shift with occasional rotations to Day Shift. The CDU is designed to provide superior care for patients requiring observation.
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse will adhere to established standards of practice and professional performance, engaging in assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
The RN is responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care, utilizing the nursing process while complying with accepted standards of progressive care nursing and Union Hospital policies. Responsibilities include administering, monitoring, and documenting medications and treatments, as well as reporting expected and adverse reactions. The RN will provide individualized care, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and secure environment for patient care.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Must possess a Maryland RN license or a license from a compact state. Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required, along with ACLS certification within one year of hire. NIH Stroke certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
