Operating Room Nurse Supervisor Opportunity

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nurse Supervisor in our Operating Room. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in nursing leadership and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Operating Room nursing staff
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • One year of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Two years or more of direct OR Registered Nurse Supervisory experience
  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred
  • RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
  • CNOR preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention
  • Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization
