Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Works Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Town of Wiggins. As a key member of our public works department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our town's infrastructure, including streets, water and sewer systems, and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair town-owned vehicles, equipment, and facilities
  • Operate a variety of equipment and tools, including heavy machinery and hand tools
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Assist in the construction and repair of town infrastructure, including streets and water and sewer systems
  • Work effectively with other staff and the public to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • Valid Colorado Class B CDL Driver's License required; ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as Certified Flagger and Water Distribution and Sewer Collection certifications within 1 year of hire
  • 1-3 years of experience in public works maintenance or a related field, including operating equipment
