Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Southwest Engineers, Inc. as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water/wastewater engineering and experience with design and drafting software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate files and organization of all contracts and project documents.
  • Perform engineering tasks under the supervision of a Project Manager, utilizing sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize design and drafting software to create engineering documents, including AutoCAD and Civil-3D.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings to develop relationships and ensure project success.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications for projects, and research/review code and permitting requirements as directed.
Requirements
  • B.S in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T Accredited School.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
  • Working knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software, including AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and KYPIPE.
  • Ability to supplement designs, calculations, and drawings to support project goals.
  • Basic computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
