Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medications according to established policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families on the proper use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
- Clinical Consultation: Offer clinical consultation and clarification to healthcare practitioners on medication-related matters.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize medication use and patient outcomes.
- Leadership: Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, ensuring the daily activities of pharmacy technicians are verified.
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
- Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacy registration in the State of practice, with licensure within 60 days of start date. BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.
As a Clinical Pharmacist I at Christus Health, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care and safety. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
