Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders, including chemotherapy administration and management of side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy agents, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform venipunctures, blood draws, and other laboratory procedures as needed.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in oncology and hematology.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of New York.
- 2+ years of experience in oncology and hematology, with a focus on chemotherapy administration and management.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Ability to work 7P-7A shifts, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
