Job Opportunity

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our correctional healthcare team at the Racine Co Jail in Racine, Wisconsin.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and administrative skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality medical services to our patients. As a Physician with a passion for correctional healthcare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall supervision for clinical services to ensure appropriate delivery of medical care
  • Consult with medical providers in the community to resolve issues in delivering services to patients
  • Supervise the clinical services provided by professional and paraprofessional staff
  • Ensure and provide on-call services
  • Manage referrals to outside healthcare facilities for appropriateness, quality, and continuity of care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Fully licensed to practice in the state of employment
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Preferred board certified or board eligible in primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) with administrative experience in corrections and/or managed healthcare delivery
