Job Overview

Glades Talent is seeking a highly skilled Health and Wellness Director to join our team at a reputable Senior Living facility in Palm Beach County.

The ideal candidate will oversee the well-being of all residents within the Memory Care Community, ensuring compliance with state regulations and managing the medication program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all departmental activities, including planning and setting goals.
  • Ensure the department complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct timely resident evaluations in accordance with state requirements and community policies.
  • Oversee all aspects of medication management, including orders, administration, storage, and documentation in line with state guidelines.
  • Ensure residents who self-administer medication comply with regulations.
  • Monitor the care team to ensure they understand and meet each resident's unique needs.
  • Review and maintain care plans for all residents, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage in-house ancillary services (e.g., podiatry, dental, eye care, etc.) and ensure follow-up.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of wellness associates.
  • Respond promptly to requests from residents, families, and guests.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other departments.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication with management, staff, residents, families, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage budgets and staffing effectively.
  • Passion for working with seniors and delivering compassionate care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

Education & Experience:

  • Licensed LPN or RN.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Current CPR certification, with additional nursing specialty certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for 75% of the day.
  • Capable of lifting or moving supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to conditions that may require personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Occasional local travel may be required.
