We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Ambulatory Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to our clinicians, ensuring seamless patient care and facilitating efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Support ambulatory pharmacy clinicians in all aspects of patient care, allowing them to work at the top of their license.
- Act as a liaison between patients, clinicians, providers, pharmacy, and insurance, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Streamline and facilitate patient care, including reviewing electronic health records, sending and managing messages, problem-solving, and appointment scheduling.
- Perform tasks such as refilling medications, placing lab orders, providing education, answering phone calls, and abstracting lab results, medications, and immunizations.
- Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy, healthcare, managed care, or other health insurance environments.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; ASHP accredited pharmacy tech training program preferred.
- Proven attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational, follow-up, and time management skills, with comfort using technology and electronic applications.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and discern when to hand off tasks.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment, balancing multiple priorities and problem-solving as needed.
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date, with registration obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcare Association (ExCPT) required within the first 6 months of hire.
