We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Athletic Care Specialist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As a vital member of our athletic training department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to athletes in New Jersey.

About the Role

As a Senior Athletic Care Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for athletic events and competitions, managing medical and risk management services for athletes. You will also coordinate and implement preventative care and emergency response plans, utilizing your expertise in taping, bracing, CPR, and first aid.

In this role, you will work closely with our supervising physician to develop standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with state licensing and professional standards. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively involve athletes, families, and other stakeholders in the plan of care, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.

You will also collaborate with other JAG professionals, such as physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care and refer patients to specialized services when necessary. Regular communication with the supervising physician is essential, ensuring that you stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program)
  • BOC certification and completion of continuing education requirements (50 CEUs every two years)
  • New Jersey State licensure as an Athletic Trainer
  • NJ Department of Education clearance
  • Current BLS certification
  • Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
