Job Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Consultant is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of sophisticated Business Intelligence solutions and reporting mechanisms utilizing the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack and other relevant tools.

This position involves consolidating data from diverse sources into a streamlined data warehouse and crafting reporting solutions for extensive multi-dimensional databases.


Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Create, implement, and sustain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Examine intricate data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications for BI initiatives.
ETL Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Ensure the precision, reliability, and efficiency of ETL operations.
Data Warehouse Management:

  • Architect and maintain data warehouse structures, including dimensional modeling and data integration.
  • Enhance data storage and retrieval methods to facilitate reporting and analytics.
Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to comprehend data requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
  • Offer training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting.
Quality Assurance:

  • Perform testing and validation of BI solutions to guarantee data accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and issues.
Continuous Improvement:

  • Keep abreast of the latest BI technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of BI solutions.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, and data warehousing.
  • At least 12 months of experience in Lender Place Insurance Tracking and Loss Draft business services, including associated processes and systems knowledge in a lead role.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading offshore development teams.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS).
Technical Skills:

  • Strong grasp of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is advantageous.
Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
