This position involves the essential tasks related to the processing of surgical tissue specimens, as well as contributing to the training of pathology residents and ensuring quality assurance in laboratory practices.
Educational Qualifications
- Associate degree in a relevant field such as chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology OR
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline OR
- A minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited institution with specific coursework.
- Laboratory training in pathology, histology, or cytology is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in computer applications for data management.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Windows-based software and specific laboratory applications.
- Understanding of quality control, safety, and compliance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to handle stressful situations.
