Overview

As a Financial Sales Manager at First Citizens Bank, you will be responsible for managing sales efforts and associates in a branch location, overseeing branch operations, and driving accountability for proactive customer outreach with the branch sales team. You'll leverage your expertise in consumer and small business financial needs to establish banking relationships, extend credit, and identify referrals for specialty partners.

Sales Responsibilities:
  • Achieve individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to specific metrics and goals assigned.
  • Engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach.
  • Represent the Bank in the community to generate additional business and identify potential CRA opportunities.

Team Management:
You'll manage performance and personnel functions for a team, ensuring operational soundness while executing on a plan to deliver results that create value for the customer and meet financial expectations. Drive accountability to role expectations, providing one-on-one feedback and coaching that supports associate development and achievement of results. Regularly leverage the expertise of bank partners, other managers, or teams.

Service Standards:
Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects, and colleagues. Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities.

Operations and Administration:
Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures.

Qualifications:
We're seeking candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lending, or financial services sales, including supervisory experience. Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lending, or financial services sales, including supervisory experience are also acceptable. In addition, a valid driver's license is required, as frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc., is necessary for this role. We'll provide support for federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in financial literacy, analysis, and knowledge of retail banking products and services are essential. Experience with business development, networking, and building centers of influence is also beneficial. A structured sales process and application of it would be a plus.
