We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Rockford Veterinary Clinic. As a key partner to our veterinarians, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to ensure seamless and successful client interactions and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, including outpatient exams, patient preparation, and vital sign monitoring.
- Obtain blood, stool, and other samples, perform in-hospital laboratory testing, and prepare specimens for outside laboratories.
- Take, develop, and maintain radiographs, and provide basic animal handling and restraint during exams.
- Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments at the discretion of the veterinarian.
- Clean and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab spaces, and restock supplies as needed.
- State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of desired employment.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, and ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
- Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS office applications.
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.
