Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Janitor/Custodian to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday through Friday, with varying hours. This role is essential for ensuring a clean and sanitary environment through a range of cleaning responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as desks, door handles, and office equipment.
  • Perform floor maintenance including mopping, buffing, and vacuuming.
  • Thoroughly clean the interiors of buildings, including carpets, rugs, windows, and walls.
  • Utilize disinfectants on surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to proper sanitization protocols.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash and recycling bins.
  • Oversee cleaning supplies inventory and reorder as necessary.
  • Maintain outdoor areas by clearing debris and snow from walkways.

Qualifications:

  • Previous custodial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to perform additional tasks as required.
