At Southeast Alabama Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented LPN to join our team as an Order Tracking LPN. This role is responsible for ensuring that all diagnostic and surgery orders meet medical necessity under our Southeast Health protocol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain all incoming orders for outpatient diagnostic procedures and surgeries.
- Obtain history and physicals, office notes, and required documents prior to scheduled surgeries.
- Review clinical charts for compliance with reimbursement and medical necessity guidelines.
- Enter physician's orders into the electronic medical record and move to appropriate folders.
- Coordinate with physician offices and facilities to schedule patient treatment plans.
- Conduct telephone conversations with patients, physicians, and office personnel to discuss clinical information and issues.
- Identify medically urgent and emergent patients and coordinate their care.
- Refer patient accounts to outsource vendors for financial assistance.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN licensure in the State of Alabama.
- Five (5) years of LPN experience.
