Description of Duties:

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand and banding tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Climb and work at heights of up to 8 feet, requiring physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Understand and implement department quality procedures and documents related to packing and shipping of irrigation products.
  • Read and interpret order pick lists, recognizing major parts by sight.
  • Work varying shifts, including overtime, as required by the business.
  • Use a calculator, computer, tape measure, and hand-held bar-code scanners to perform tasks.
  • Pack orders in various zones, including bundling and crating of miscellaneous parts.
  • Load trailers with the direction of the crew leader.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor or leads.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, read, write, and count accurately.
  • Ability to work with wood and small hand tools, such as tape measures, saws, and drills.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, push, pull, climb, lift, and walk 40% of the scheduled shift.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to climb to or work up to 8 feet above the ground.
  • Satisfactory safety record and awareness of others' safety.
  • Ability to administer instructions to others on a limited basis.
  • Ability to work over ten hours a week in overtime when required for business needs.
  • Working knowledge of using email.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, straddle trucks, shag trucks, or weigh counting scales.
  • Material handling and inventory experience.
  • Experience with banding equipment.
  • Acceptable work and attendance history.
  • Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.

SKILLS:

Education Background

  • Ability to read, write, and understand plainly written documents in English, such as order pick lists, move tags, part orders, and rejected tags.
  • Ability to perform simple math operations, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Legible penmanship.
  • Use of a calculator.
  • Use of a computer.
