We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Supervisor to join our team at SIMOS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sheet metal department, ensuring top-quality production and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate - Supervise sheet metal personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and production functional procedures, and backing up the team leader when necessary.
- Develop and Implement - Develop jigs and fixtures, work instructions, and ensure that tools, equipment, and work space are clean and orderly.
- Troubleshoot and Maintain - Assist in troubleshooting tools and equipment to meet sheet metal production schedule, and ensure that all equipment, materials, and supplies are readily available.
- Document and Manage - Document control of all work instructions and procedures, manage performance reviews, appraisals, and promotions for employees, and address employee concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
- Lead and Communicate - Delegate workflow to team members, maintain work schedules, act as liaison between team leader and department manager, and keep manager informed of any problems, concerns, and inventory issues.
- Education - High School Diploma or GED
- Skills - Excellent planning and organizing skills, ability to decisively act in important situations, and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
- Software - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and production-related software, including CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Sheet Metal CAD/CAM software).
- Physical Demands - Ability to lift 30 pounds.
