**Job Title:** Fire Captain Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Kenai Peninsula Borough is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Captain to join our team as a Coordinator for the Volunteer Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with volunteers and community members.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve volunteer engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with the Training Division to develop and deliver training programs for volunteers.
- Supervise and mentor volunteers to ensure they are equipped to respond to emergencies and provide quality service to the community.
Requirements:
- Seven years of full-time structural firefighting experience, including one year as an Engineer.
- IFSAC or State of Alaska Fire Officer 1 certification.
- Alaska EMS Emergency Trauma Technician Instructor certification.
- EMT III/AEMT certification or Paramedic level.
- Valid, unrestricted Alaska driver's license.
