Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Admissions Manager to lead the admissions operations at Arbor Glen Care Center. This role involves managing the daily functions of the admissions department, ensuring a streamlined and effective process for incoming residents. You will work closely with our Business Development Director to foster and maintain strong connections with local healthcare facilities and hospitals, thereby enhancing our community service capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the admissions department, ensuring a smooth transition for new residents.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Director to establish connections with local healthcare providers and community partners.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate the eligibility of prospective residents.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation and approvals are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement strategies aimed at optimizing the admissions process and increasing occupancy rates.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to potential residents and their families, addressing questions and concerns with compassion and professionalism.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory standards, and available community resources.
- Analyze admissions data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate smooth transitions for new residents.
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience in admissions within a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of the admissions process and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with admissions software and databases.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive under pressure.
