Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN basis. As an SLP at Special Kids, you'll have the opportunity to work with children from birth to age 21 with a variety of diagnoses and developmental delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and evaluate speech and language skills and provide treatment to children with communication disorders, diagnoses, and developmental delays.
  • Program and provide instruction on the use of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices as applicable.
  • Coordinate participation in multi-sensory, educational, functional, and social activities designed to help patients develop or regain abilities/function or adapt to disabilities.
  • Prepare patients for school and/or daily living, assisting in the restoration of functions, and aiding in necessary adjustments to lifestyle.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient reports and documentation in electronic medical records.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology with related experience and/or training.
  • Active and unencumbered Tennessee State SLP license required; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with CPR training required; membership in ASHA recommended; HIPAA certification encouraged.
