Job Title: Soldering Technician

We are seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to join our team at Aerotek in Tampa, FL. As a Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for performing hand soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons and other tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform hand soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons and other tools.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to ensure accurate component placement and soldering.
  • Inspect finished assemblies to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair soldering defects as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Previous electronic manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Able to read and follow production processes.
  • Ability to keep department records as needed.
  • Able and willing to cross-train into other production positions which may have different technical or physical requirements.
  • Able to successfully complete position certification course.
  • IPC Standards knowledge.
  • ESD knowledge.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to understand and follow safety policies.
  • Able to successfully complete solder certification and position certification.
  • Ability to read and understand customer documentation.
