Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy services, the Pharmacy Tech performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidential reports and enter/retrieve data in the computer system.
  • Prepare intravenous medication, including antibiotics.
  • Fill the automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications.
  • Procure and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Deliver supplies to nursing units.
Requirements

Must be able to work under direct supervision and maintain confidentiality of reports.
