Pharmacy Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician III to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of medications across our healthcare system.

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications, including IV solutions and sterile products.
• Conduct audits and research to maintain the integrity of our medication programs.
• Enter data into computer systems and verify accuracy.
• Order medications from wholesalers and manage inventory.
• Coordinate medication-related issues for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Training in pharmacy technology or equivalent.
• 2 years of directly related experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in NM within 60 days.

This is a heavy work position that requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

The position requires working with chemicals, biohazardous materials, and requires personal protective equipment (PPE).
