Food Expeditor

The Taproom Food Runner/Expo is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring seamless communication between our kitchen and front-of-house staff. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the dining room and expo station.
• Ensure proper setup and shift maintenance, as well as breakdown of the expo station.
• Assist guests and team members as needed, providing exceptional customer service.
• Responsible for expediting food, reading and matching tickets, and garnishing dishes accordingly.
• Follow steps of service, practicing effective ticket coursing and maintaining tables as needed.
• Arrive on time, dressed in proper uniform, with a positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Be familiar with the restaurant layout, including table numbers and storage areas.
• Be knowledgeable about our menus, including food, drinks, and daily specials.
• Assist fellow team members in their responsibilities, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
• Provide exceptional hospitality and guest service, displaying an outgoing personality and a commitment to excellence.
• Help promote our restaurant, highlighting our commitment to great food and good people.
• Act with integrity and honesty, adhering to our policies and procedures.
• Alert management to any issues that may arise with guests.

• Ability to work holidays, even if not scheduled.
• Physical requirements: able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a full-service restaurant is desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
