Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Audio Engineer to join our team at Angel Stadium as a Part Time Sound Tech. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, preparing, and operating the sound system for events at the stadium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the setup, preparation, and operation of the sound system
  • Operate a multi-channel electronic digital sound mixing board
  • Work with electricians and entertainment staff to ensure optimal sound performance
  • Set up and operate RF microphones and intercom systems
  • Detect and resolve audio system problems
  • Take direction from the Director of Entertainment and Production during events
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of sound and audio system operation principles
  • Skills in setting up and operating sound systems
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience mixing front of house sound for professional sporting events or live concerts in large outdoor stadium venues
  • Ability to operate routing equipment and patch audio, video, and ancillary signals
  • Proficiency in using a computer, digital sound mixing board, and electronic controlled sound equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands
  • Ability to use both hands, arms, and legs
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to maintain proper balance
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk, climb stairs, and ladders
Working Conditions
  • Work includes indoor and outdoor environments
  • Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment
  • Subject to working in adverse weather conditions
