Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled MR Imaging Scientist to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. As a key member of our Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, you will play a crucial role in advancing our research programs and contributing to the development of innovative imaging technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program in MR imaging, with a focus on pulse sequence programming and reconstruction techniques.
  • Collaborate with basic scientists and clinical researchers to design and conduct studies, and analyze data to advance our understanding of biomedical imaging.
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and masters students in the principles and applications of MR imaging.
  • Contribute to the development of new imaging protocols and techniques, and evaluate their effectiveness in clinical and research settings.
Requirements
  • PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate or postdoctoral training and research experience, preferably with at least two years combined.
  • Strong background in MR imaging physics and pulse sequence programming, with experience on multi-vendor platforms such as Siemens and GE scanners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
