About the Role

Chamberlain University is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Education and Simulation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a critical role in providing strategies and academic reinforcement to students throughout their academic program and as they prepare for success with the NCLEX-RN exam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate simulation-based experiences and labs, including equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, set-up, and clean-up.
  • Provide academic support to students, demonstrating current and detailed knowledge of concepts tested by the NCLEX-RN and currency in nursing practice.
  • Assist in creating Next Generation NCLEX activities and workshops.
  • Communicate and document students' academic and co-curricular progress to academic leadership.
  • Develop and implement clinically based scenarios for simulated learning experiences.
  • Coordinate and supervise lab experiences to ensure students meet course objectives.
  • Staff open lab sessions and provide individual oversight to students during practice and remediation of technical nursing skills.
  • Participate in outreach to students with at-risk referrals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree in Education or Nursing preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support preferred.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintenance of a current, unencumbered RN license required.
