Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team at Exceptional Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, implementing physician orders, and ensuring the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and consult with other specialists as required to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies.
  • Maintain awareness of current policies and procedures that impact position responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive and professional knowledge and skills in conformation with recognized nursing standards.
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interpret the results.
  • Perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory's and according to patient care unit's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
  • Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in the formation of the plan of care.
  • Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a hospital setting.
  • Telemetry/ICU experience preferred.
  • Current Texas Nursing License.
  • Current CPR and ACLS required. PALS preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organization habits.
  • Ability to care for patients from adult to geriatric patients.
  • Excellent teaching skills.
  • Basic knowledge of continuous quality improvement ideology.
