Job Title: Optometrist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Jobot.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of eye health, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

This role involves conducting eye tests, prescribing corrective lenses, identifying and managing eye diseases, educating patients on eye care, and working closely with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and make referrals when necessary.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest eye care techniques, research, and equipment to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
  • Work with the finance team to understand and apply insurance and billing procedures.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licence to practice optometry in the state.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments in a clear and understandable way.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare software.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of optometry.
