Overview:

The Equipment Maintenance division at Cree is on the lookout for experienced Lead Supervisors to manage the installation and initiation of production machinery. These supervisors will play a crucial role in ensuring that equipment is installed according to company standards, minimizing downtime during the transition to production. You will lead a team of technicians responsible for the installation and commissioning of production and testing equipment while upholding safety protocols and maintaining a fast-paced work environment.

This recruitment is for multiple positions that will support operations at our manufacturing center. The selected candidates will undergo training at our headquarters before transitioning to the new site once operational.

Supervisors will be expected to support a 12-hour manufacturing schedule, which includes:

  • Day Shift (specific days of the week)
  • Night Shift (specific days of the week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Oversee the installation, initiation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with the Process Engineering team to ensure timely installation of tools that meet business demands.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of candidates for the Equipment team to meet operational needs.
  • Manage budgetary goals for the area.
  • Advocate for 5S principles, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe workplace to enhance productivity.
  • Work closely with process engineering and production teams to improve quality metrics and reduce costs associated with new tool installations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing support or repair services.
  • Proven success in a management role.
  • Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour manufacturing schedule is essential.

This position may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
