About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Wynhoven Community Care Center. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute daily living and dining needs for assigned residents
  • Makes rounds on assigned group, noting significant issues for intervention
  • Provides intervention as needed to provide a safe and clean environment
  • Checks all residents daily for condition of skin, reporting findings to Licensed Staff
  • Assists Licensed Staff with positioning residents in need of treatment
  • Takes and records vital parameters as assigned
  • Assists with weekly and monthly weights as assigned
  • Records information on the electronic health record
  • Provides laundry care, housekeeping, and dining needs, including assisting with activities
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Licensed Staff, Director of Nursing, or Assistant Director of Nursing
Requirements
  • Valid nurse aide certification with the State of Louisiana
  • Ability to organize, plan, and supervise care of residents
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate good emotional, mental, and physical health, having sound judgment and high standards
  • Ability and willingness to provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility
  • Ability and willingness to function as a cooperative team member with each member of the nursing department and other departments
  • Ability to provide related bedside resident care services as per facility policy and procedures
  • Ability to adapt to on-the-job training and adhere to standards of the facility providing personal care services, assisting residents, handling, and caring for equipment and supplies, and developing a good understanding of basic aseptic and sterile techniques
