Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at IOS. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials and supplies from approved suppliers, scheduling production, and managing inbound logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including creating and releasing purchase orders and work orders to support demand requirements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Responsible for weighing risk factors when making buy decisions, supporting inventory targets, and controlling documents pertaining to the supply base.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Manage inbound material utilizing Transportation Management System (TMS), select carriers for best price and service levels, and file damage claims as required.
  • Cost Reduction and Inventory Management: Identify and implement cost reduction activities using optimized processes, while achieving maximum leverage of spend, competitive sourcing, and supplier collaboration to reduce costs.
  • Process Optimization and Compliance: Strive for procurement process optimization and waste elimination, and ensure compliance with all applicable standards and local regulations for assigned locations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience negotiating with suppliers and ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent time management skills.
