Position Requirements

We are currently seeking a Health Services Director to become an integral part of our leadership team. This role is essential in managing resident care, ensuring that individuals maintain their independence and quality of life. The Director will work closely with residents and their families to support their physical and emotional well-being. Additionally, this position may involve assuming the responsibilities of the Executive Director when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care and Community Oversight

  • Oversee the Resident Services Department to deliver high-quality care and support to all residents.
  • Act as the primary contact for residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care-related matters.
  • Conduct hands-on care procedures within the legal scope of practice, adhering to company policies and state regulations.
  • Uphold the mission, objectives, and standards of the Resident Services department to guarantee exceptional care for all residents.
  • Ensure that resident care addresses the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each individual, while promoting their identity, independence, and opportunities for social engagement.
  • Stay informed about OSHA and state regulations, regularly assessing community compliance concerning resident care.

Team Leadership

  • Efficiently organize and staff the Resident Services Department.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Resident Services by monitoring staff performance and ensuring adherence to community and state regulations.
  • Implement robust infection control measures to foster a healthy environment and ensure all staff receive necessary training.
  • Guide staff in delivering quality resident care that meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Oversee team member schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels are consistently maintained.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. RN or LPN/LVN certification is required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in an assisted living setting.
  • Minimum of three years in a management or leadership role.
  • Basic understanding of Geriatric Nursing principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant State Regulations.
