Job Summary:

Spee-Dee Delivery is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Package Handler to join our team. As a Package Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload freight from fleet vehicles and accurately sort packages by zip code, city, or state.
  • Scan package barcode labels for tracking purposes and stack freight into trailers to prevent damage and optimize space.
  • Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Wash fleet vehicles as needed to maintain company image.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently.
  • Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous materials, perishable food, and live animals.
