- Provide regular updates to project management regarding progress, challenges, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to streamline project operations.
- Manage project budgets and monitor financial performance against established baselines.
- Ensure project schedules are maintained by effectively allocating resources and managing timelines.
- Prepare and manage three-week look-ahead schedules and identify long lead items.
- Alert management to any external factors that may adversely affect project timelines.
- Supervise subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Guide the preparation of close-out documentation and secure necessary certifications.
- Implement quality assurance measures and promote continuous improvement practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Facilitate accurate invoicing and timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Provide direction to the Project Engineer and prioritize critical path tasks to maintain project schedules.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a Superintendent or Construction Manager role, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Proven track record of successful project management with a focus on quality, safety, and cost control.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing project demands and priorities.
- Experience in managing field staff, providing constructive feedback, and fostering professional development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to various project sites as required.
- Flexibility to work an average of 50 hours per week or as needed.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills based on relevant experience.
- Identify and analyze problems, providing actionable recommendations for project success.
- Exhibit independence in decision-making while seeking assistance when necessary.
- Maintain organization and attention to detail to meet project deadlines.
- Work collaboratively in team settings to solve complex issues.
- Possess a working knowledge of scheduling software and project management tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in operating vehicles and mechanized equipment as needed.
- Physically able to perform tasks such as standing, climbing, and bending regularly.
- Utilize visual and auditory skills effectively in the work environment.
