The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) is responsible for managing anesthesia care across various clinical settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments by reviewing medical histories, laboratory results, and other relevant documentation to determine optimal anesthesia strategies.
- Administer general and regional anesthesia using established protocols and techniques, while closely monitoring patient vitals and responses.
- Adjust anesthesia levels as necessary, communicating effectively with the surgical team regarding any changes in patient condition.
- Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia, ensuring that all vital signs are stable and performing post-operative evaluations as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia procedures and patient interactions.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant.
- Current licensure to practice in the state of Utah.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
