Membership Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Membership Director to lead our membership and community development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing membership and retaining existing members, as well as supervising staff and managing front desk operations.

• Develop and implement membership strategies to recruit new members, retain existing members, and grow corporate memberships.
• Supervise front desk staff and ensure proper implementation of front desk procedures.
• Manage and implement the approved budget for membership and take corrective action to address variances.
• Organize membership events and represent the YMCA at community events to promote the organization.
• Develop and implement communications campaigns to drive membership and community knowledge of Y programs and services.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff and volunteers as needed.
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual membership sales goals.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience in customer service or a related field.
• Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

• Previous experience in membership development or a related field.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
