Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team at Genie Healthcare. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and memory care units.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Administer medications as prescribed under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Provide support in specialized areas such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), hospice care, and behavioral health.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures when required and assist with medical records documentation.
  • Engage with patients to promote mental well-being and provide companionship in memory care settings.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient environments by adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program is preferred.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in hospital medicine or working within a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and basic medical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others in their time of need.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
