Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be the face of U-Haul's exceptional service, ensuring that customers receive all the help they need on their journeys.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for assisting customers with U-Haul products and services, using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, and moving and hooking up U-Haul trucks and trailers.

You will also be responsible for cleaning and inspecting equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels, answering questions and educating customers regarding products and services, preparing rental invoices, and accepting equipment returned from rental.

In addition, you will install hitches and trailer wiring, fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment), and drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).

Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
