Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner II- So Sacramento Hospital North is a key member of the Emergency Department team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examinations, to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and coordination.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in emergency medicine.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Current California RN license and NP Furnishing Number.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an emergency department or urgent care setting.
  • Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
