Job Summary:

The Hospital Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hospital facilities, including patient rooms, hallways, and common areas. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
  • Sweep and/or vacuum floors
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polish metalwork
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required
  • Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
  • Medical cleaning a plus
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, and Drug Test required
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work independently. The Hospital Housekeeper will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
